Information Collection and Purpose

We may collect two types of information: personally identifiable information ("PII") and information that is not personally identifiable ("Non PII"). We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when you visit our Sites.

A. What PII Do We Collect?

○ During registration, we collect personal information, such as your name, address, email address, and telephone number. We also collect your IP address and/or mobile device identification, which certain jurisdictions consider to be PII because it could be used to identify an individual or device if it were combined with other identifying information.

○ For participants in our referral program, personal information may be collected directly by or shared with third parties solely for program operating purposes. The categories of personal information collected may include your name, email address, postal address, contact details. This information, once collected, will be stored and processed in the United States.

○ We employ industry-recognized security safeguards, including site monitoring, secured networks and servers, firewalls and encryption, to safeguard your personal information. However, it is important to note that no transmission over the Internet is entirely secure, and while we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

○ We may collect your personal information from your use of social media platforms like Facebook or LinkedIn, depending on your privacy settings and the policies of these platforms. To change your settings on these services, please refer to their respective privacy notices.

○ We may collect other information which is not specifically listed here—including information you voluntarily provide to us, such as in a contact form or customer service interaction, or in surveys, contests, promotions, and sweepstakes we offer—, but which we will use in accordance with this Privacy Policy or as otherwise disclosed at the time of collection.

B. What Non PII Do We Collect?

○ We may collect Non-personally identifiable information (Non-PII) such as user agent, referring URL, browser operating system and version number, device type, precise geolocation location data, language preference, and online activity data, such as pages or screens you viewed, how long you spent on a page or screen, navigation paths between pages or screens, information about your activity on a page or screen, access times, and duration of access. While some of this information may become PII when combined with other data, we use it in an anonymous and aggregated manner that does not personally identify or trace you or your device.

C. Cookies and similar technologies. Like many online services, we use the following technologies:

○ Cookies, which are text files that websites store on a visitor's device to uniquely identify the visitor's browser or to store information or settings in the browser for the purpose of helping you navigate between pages efficiently, remembering your preferences, enabling functionality and helping us understand user activity and patterns.

○ Flash cookies, or locally-stored objects, which are used on websites for purposes similar to cookies but allow storage of a larger amount of data.

○ Web beacons, also known as pixel tags or clear GIFs, which are used to demonstrate that a webpage or email was accessed or opened, or that certain content was viewed or clicked.

If your PII changes or you no longer wish to use our services or Website, please contact our customer service by email, telephone, or postal mail using the provided contact information listed below. We will assist you with updating your account or addressing any concerns. Even if your account becomes inactive, we will continue to protect your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Online Analytics and Advertising

As you use our Service, we, our service providers, and ad and analytics partners collect a variety of information through the use of "cookies" and similar technologies, such as tracking pixels, to understand how you navigate through and interact with our Service, to learn what content is popular, to enhance the Service and provide you with a more relevant and personalized experience, for authentication and advertising purposes, to save your preferences, and to collect certain usage, device and location information as described above.

Online Analytics. We may use third-party web analytics services on our Service, such as those of Google Analytics, Parse.ly, Hotjar, Cloudflare. These service providers use the sort of technology described in the "Cookies and similar technologies" section above to help us analyze how users use the Service. The information collected by the technology will be disclosed to or collected directly by these service providers, who use the information to evaluate your use of the Services on our behalf. Tailored Online Advertising. We strive to provide you with relevant, tailored advertising regarding our Service. However, we do work with online analytics and advertising partners, such as Google, Raptive, Connatix, Outbrain, RevContent to: (1) better understand the use of our Service so that we can improve our Service; and (2) deliver IE Media advertisements that are more tailored to you both on our Services and on third-party Services.

Raptive Advertising

This Site is affiliated with CMI Marketing, Inc., d/b/a Raptive ("Raptive") for the purposes of placing advertising on the Site, and Raptive will collect and use certain data for advertising purposes. To learn more about Raptive's data usage, click here.

Use of Personal Information

We use personal information we collect through our Sites to contact you, to provide you with information that you have requested, to provide additional information which we believe may be of interest to you, to perform an activity you have requested (such as to register you for an event or to evaluate an application for a job opportunity), to enhance or improve the Sites, for security purposes, or otherwise to operate our business.

Service delivery. We use your information:

Other purposes with your consent. In some cases we will ask for your consent to collect, use or disclose your information for other purposes. For example, we may ask for your consent to send you marketing emails where required by law or to post your testimonial or endorsement.

○ Third party platforms. Social media platforms or other third party platforms that you connect to the Service and where you authorize us to disclose your information with them (such as when you use options to access the Service by logging into the third party platform).

○ Enforcement of Rights/Security. We reserve the right to release personal information if we are required to do so by law or pursuant to legal process, or in response to a request from law enforcement authorities or other government officials;

○ Professional advisors. We may disclose your information to professional advisors, such as lawyers, bankers, auditors and insurers, where necessary in the course of the professional services they render to us.

○ Business Transaction. We may disclose some or all of our business or assets, including your information, in connection with a business transaction (or potential business transaction) such as a corporate divestiture, merger, consolidation, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets, or in the event of bankruptcy or dissolution. Storing and Processing of Information

IE Media is headquartered in the United States and has service providers in other countries, and your information may be transferred to the United States or other locations outside of your state, province, or country where privacy laws may not be as protective as those in your state, province, or country. By using the Services, you acknowledge that these transfers will occur.

YOU FURTHER ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THE LAWS OF THE UNITED STATES TREAT YOUR INFORMATION IN A MANNER THAT MAY BE SUBSTANTIALLY DIFFERENT FROM, AND LESS PROTECTIVE THAN, THE TREATMENT REQUIRED UNDER THE LAWS OF OTHER COUNTRIES AND JURISDICTIONS. IF YOU DO NOT WANT YOUR INFORMATION TRANSFERRED TO THE UNITED STATES, YOU SHOULD NOT SHARE YOUR INFORMATION WITH US, OR MAKE USE OF THIS WEBSITE. TO THE EXTENT ALLOWED BY THE LAW OF THE COUNTRY IN WHICH YOU ARE LOCATED, YOU EXPRESSLY WAIVE ANY RIGHT YOU MAY HAVE TO REQUIRE US TO TREAT YOUR IDENTIFYING INFORMATION IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAWS OF ANY COUNTRY OR JURISIDICTION OTHER THAN THE UNITED STATES. Communication with Users

We may use the information we collect to contact you by mail, email and telephone (including automated calls, and by SMS text messages and other multimedia electronic messages such as picture messaging). We will not send you unsolicited premium rate SMS messages (which are SMS messages you pay to receive), although your service provider may impose a charge on any messages that you receive. Please check with your service provider for details.

You can unsubscribe from promotional emails and other commercial communications by following the instructions contained within the communication. Please note that due to marketing production schedules you may receive any messages already in production.

Your Rights and Options

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to make requests about your "personal information" or "personal data" (as such terms are defined under applicable law, and collectively referred to herein as "personal information"). You may have the right to ask us to:

Please note that certain information may be exempt from such requests under applicable law. For example, we need to retain certain information in order to provide our Services to you. Registration on our Website

Your California Privacy Rights

This section applies only to California residents. The California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 ("CCPA") requires certain disclosures that are covered above in our Privacy Policy. This section provides an overview of the information required by CCPA and how to exercise your CCPA rights.

Disclosures about the use of your Personal Information

As described in Section 1 of our Privacy Policy, we collect and utilize specific information to ensure the operation and enhancement of the Website and to maximize your experience. The listed information types represent what we collect if you use our Website and the categories of personal information collected in the past twelve months.

Section 3 of our Privacy Policy explains how we share or disclose your information with vendors. The mentioned categories of Personal Information collected for our business purposes in the past twelve months are described above.

Data Subject Rights:

Right to Delete. You have the right to request that we delete personal information that we have collected about you. Please note that if you have requested a service that requires the use of your personal information, we may not be able to provide that service if you choose to delete your personal information.

Right to Access. You may request that we disclose to you:

We may verify your identity before granting access to information or fulfilling your rights request, as required by law. Our response to your rights request may be subject to limitations permitted by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights by:

Authorized Agent. You can authorize an agent to make a CCPA request on your behalf if they are a natural person or a registered business entity in California. To protect your information, we may verify your identity and require signed permission from you authorizing the agent to submit the request.

Whenever a user agrees to allow us to collect personal information, we provide the user with an option to prevent information from being shared for marketing and promotional purposes with third parties. Furthermore, you may exercise this option at any time by sending an email to [email protected].

Do Not Track. Some Internet browsers may be configured to send "Do Not Track" signals to the online services that you visit. We currently do not respond to "Do Not Track" or similar signals. Please note that Do Not Track is a different mechanism than the legally-recognized browser-based opt out preference signal mentioned above.
